If there were only two types of novices, they would still obey the law, just invite the two teachers to come down to the Dharma hall back and forth here and there, do not mix each other, in order to easily instruct new learners. Belief is the source for entering the Way, and precepts are the root for achieving good karma. Therefore, you must be diligent and careful before and after. This is really a good condition that is difficult to meet, and the good seeds grow here. The sorcerer said: Hey good men! They have developed faith to receive the pure precepts, if there is any word, they will send a sincere leader to cooperate. The head stated that: Threshold, Venerable Master, compassionately taking care of life, our disciples appear to have left home for a long time, but are ashamed to not be imbued with the dharma precepts, carry the Thich family lineage, and interfere in the ranks of the Sangha. Therefore, now sincerely kneel before the high throne, bowing to beg for mercy and grant our disciples pure precepts, so that we can practice diligently as the Dharma, obey the Buddha's teachings and practice, dedicate ourselves to the three realms, devote our hearts to the world. earnestly implore. At home, he shoots evil, when he leaves home, he shoots good. If you stay at home, you will sink into the mud of craving; when you leave home, you will completely end up with the dirty mud of craving. That's why I know that if I want to pray for the holy way, I have to leave home first." As soon as the age of 20 is coming up, people are determined to post the three dharma precepts, for example, the simple practice of Dharma by novices is just in the order of gradual advancement, not passing class. Therefore, within the internal boundaries, temporarily allow the life and maintenance of two robes with the general merits of the field, but they are not allowed to wear the Sangha. Therefore, today when giving precepts to a novice monk, it is also not possible to lose one or more of the three robes, wait until after the position is complete to ask for the precepts. The monk first asked the teacher to check the robe and bowl for clarity. Next, invite the magician to strictly purify his body. Considering in the law, when he received the Bhikkhu-stilts precept, he sent the teacher in a hidden place to ask: These three robes and one bowl are yours, right? That's called the test y bowl. Now, while being ordained as a novice, it seems a bit too early to experience it immediately, but the charm is not pure antiquity, the hearts of people are more and more fake, which is brought about by borrowing bowls and robes. Now that the saints are in the group of precepts, if they don't examine them first, the mistakes of the two teachers and students will be difficult to avoid. So now this facility is really urgent. Leading the ceremony told the crowd to stand in order, put the robe and bowl on the court, but remember where to avoid getting the wrong robe, then stand next to it, don't mess around and lose your dignity. The two ceremony leaders led five people to visit the monk, one held an incense burner, the other four followed, reached the precepts and went up to the court, leading the ceremony and said: Offering incense, returning to the old position, hearing the sound of three prostrations, kneeling with folded hands, the two conductors came to the front to finish questioning, then returned to the old place, clasped their hands and said: Hey good men! Although they look like novices, but their minds are not filled with the Dharma, they have sought the law of Tuc Tu chapter, so they wear the Dharma clothes and appear in the world. The monk patting the chains said: When it comes to the essence of renunciation, it is necessary to take morality as the first, the main cause and effect to receive the precepts of robes and bowls as the root. Because the appearance of a Buddhist disciple is far from mundane; The mind of a Buddhist disciple is not the same as that of ordinary people. The monks patted the chains and said: I finished checking the robes and bowls for you, fortunately for you, the robes and bowls are complete, in accordance with the law, the conditions are met, so that we can receive the pure precepts. Now it is necessary to sincerely repent, so that it is convenient for the next day to go to the forum to receive the dharma precepts. Guide to advise: The good men should line up to listen to the sound of three prostrations, stand up in the division, those in the group should bring the monks back to the Liao, how many still stand in their positions. As usual, when the Dharma is finished, leave the robe back in place, everyone bows down to the master, one bows down, everyone takes their robes and bowls, the class returns to the old place, and invites them to go to the end. The examination of robes and bowls is to prevent illegal objects, but not because the Sangha's robes and bowls have passed away and become such a barrier. Recently, it has been told that the monks' robes and bowls should not be preserved when they die, these people are all untrained nuns and don't know the reason. Considering the law on Yet Ma dividing the Sangha's medical supplies, that: "For all monks, even though they depend on the Three Jewels to leave home, their wealth must definitely follow the Sangha. Buddhism has no inherent part. So we have to go into two sets of Sangha, and divide them. If you take it separately before you don't have yet, you will commit a crime against the ten directions of the Sangha. If, at the time of the New Year, you take it separately, you will be guilty of showing money to the Sangha. You should practice Sangha in harmony, like the Dharma of the White and the Two Yet Ma. The Buddha taught: "Those who practice the momentum should collect them, wash them, patch them up, and make them as powdered algae." How does this mean? Because today the Sangha's things have passed away, Nowadays it is common to see a fourth person, when the ancestor has just passed away, he will consider his son inheriting his father's career, not giving it to the public, do not know that this is stealing things from the Sangha. , taking the property of the Sangha as his own. Poison, but it is said to be orange, it is pitiful, because it is passed on in life, so it is written here. 5. PREPARATION DISCLOSURE: The New Precepts reveal mistakes, there is a difference in the matter, worthy of human dignity, based on the meaning, there are four: 1. When newly ordained, immediately ask for precepts. 2.Shaving my hair for a long time, now I pray for precepts. 3. Having left home for many years, but only living in five precepts, now thinking about progressing to practice, new life will be requested. 4.Or stay at home, have received the five precepts and received the Bodhisattva Upu Ba Tac precepts, now go forth to seek the great precepts, gather all four types above until the time of dharma work, so it should be divided into three subjects, so don't go through a series of loudspeakers, will fall into this disease drug for other drugs, multiplication shamans all three were illegal. - In terms of the first level of precepts, if you are based on "Nam Son Yet Ma Tho Ten Precepts," you should ask about old age and troubles, this is only asking about the five transgressions, which are called precepts. , because the law does not give life. The original sin of killing the monk, Xa Le, etc., it is not necessary to ask all of them. Why why? Because the other person had just left home and asked for the precepts, but the three teachers had not yet asked for it, and the four serious sins had not been upheld, then there was no teacher to kill, no precepts to break, just considering the five transgressions, right? do not ask the seven transgressions. - Regarding the second class of applying for the precepts, the things that were asked about the precepts, although there are not enough seven sins, but according to the meaning, there are six offenses. Because he had left the world for a long time and served him for many years, according to the law, one more question should be asked: killing A Xa Le. Moreover, in the law there are five types of A-Lee, first of all, the teacher shaves his hair, if there is a violation, then according to the law, it is not tolerated, reasonable and prevented. - Regarding the two types of three and four, begging for ordination, based on the stras, serious sins of disobedience, and four fundamental sins, should be strictly questioned according to reason. Therefore, now in general in this department, in addition to ten evils to ask clearly, if you hold a great position, you should be very careful. As for the practice of penitentiation, either during the day or at night, if the street is quiet and peaceful away from the noisy market stalls, the people who seek precepts are few, and there are no other conditions, then the first day of the day should be considered. repent, then transmit the dharma precepts. If the path is narrow, but there are many people who seek the precepts, or if a group of 1,000 people practice and ask for the precepts until it is doubled, or if there is a predestined relationship with the Three Jewels and other things, it can be another night to repent. morning precepts. If the road rules are close to urban villages, regardless of whether people are more or less in need of precepts, they have to be generous with their facilities, and can arbitrarily work during the day or at night. If you think about repentance at night, then at the beginning of the day you will be divided, spread a court in Yet Ma, use incense and flowers to make offerings, then stay behind the main hall, set up a court next to it, let the secretary copy people, but it is necessary to make the lamps and torches as bright and clear as day, and the fragrant incense sticks like a canopy of clouds.
